Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here!

I’m Dr. Autumn Smith, PT, DPT, founder of Empower Pelvic Therapy. I chose the field of physical therapy specifically to focus on pelvic health, with a deep commitment to supporting concerns that are often overlooked or dismissed. I help women experiencing pelvic floor concerns—such as pain, bladder and bowel dysfunction, and postpartum changes—find lasting relief through specialized care.

I’m passionate about creating a space where women feel heard, respected, and at ease while receiving personalized, one-on-one care.

With a background as a science teacher and a Master’s degree in biology with a focus in reproductive physiology, education is a central part of my approach. I believe women deserve to understand their bodies and the root causes of their symptoms—not just manage them.

As a Doctor of Physical Therapy with advanced certification in pelvic health, I combine a strong foundation in musculoskeletal care with specialized pelvic health training to identify and address the source of dysfunction—supporting lasting, meaningful healing.

Why you should choose Empower Pelvic Therapy

01. Whole-person approach

We understand that pelvic issues impact all aspects of life-and vice versa. That's why we take a whole-person approach, focusing on restoring overall function and wellness, rather than just isolating the pelvic floor.

02. Find and treat the root cause

We focus on identifying and treating the root cause of your symptoms-so you get lasting relief, not just a temporary fix.

03. Focus on Wellness

We believe you shouldn’t need to wait for something to be 'wrong' to seek guidance. We offer birth preparation and postpartum check-ups to help optimize your birth plan, support healing, and ensure a safe return to exercise.

04. Compassionate care

Having experienced the physical and emotional challenges of pregnancy and postpartum firsthand, we’re deeply committed to compassionate care. Our mission is to equip, empower, and educate you to return to what you value most.

05. Individualized Care

We believe therapy should move at your pace, providing the space and guidance tailored to you as an individual.

06. Personalize Care

As a small, therapist-owned practice, we offer truly personalized care-you’ll be known by name, not treated like just another chart in a busy clinic.

07. Specialization

You will work with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes exclusively in Pelvic Health-this isn’t an add-on service, it’s the heart of what we do.

08. Skill

You will always work one-on-one with a licensed physical therapist-never handed off to an aide or tech-so your care stays personal, consistent, and expert.

09. Privacy

You’ll receive one-on-one care in a private treatment room-never in a busy gym or shared space. You’ll have our full attention with no double bookings, and a fully equipped gym is available when appropriate for your treatment.

10. Communication

You’ll have straightforward, reliable access to your treating therapist-no automated systems or runaround-just clear communication when it matters.
